This page explains, in plain English, how NomadEntry is funded and how that funding is kept separate from the facts we publish. We would rather tell you exactly how we make money than have you wonder about it.

How this site is funded

NomadEntry is free to read. There is no paywall and no subscription. We cover our costs in two ways:

• Display advertising — we show ads served by third-party ad networks (for example, Google AdSense).
• Affiliate commissions — when a reader buys a product or service (such as travel insurance, an eSIM, or an online banking account) through some of our links, we may earn a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you.

How affiliate links work

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up for or purchase something, we may earn a commission from that company. A few things to be clear about:

• It does not change the price you pay — you pay the same as you would going directly.
• Not every link is an affiliate link. We link to official government pages, reference sources, and plenty of tools we earn nothing from.
• We only add an affiliate link to something we would have been willing to mention anyway.

Our editorial independence — this is the important part

Affiliate relationships and advertising do not determine which visa requirements we report. Visa rules — eligibility, income thresholds, fees, application steps — come from official government sources, which we link on every visa guide. No company can pay us to change those facts, and no affiliate relationship buys a positive review.

Here is how our tool and service recommendations are actually formed:

• We recommend a tool because of what it does, its price, and how well it fits a digital nomad's needs — not because of a commission.
• Every tool or service review states the basis for its assessment, which is one of: direct testing (we used it ourselves), aggregated user feedback (we summarised the experiences of many real users), or feature comparison (we compared documented features, pricing, and coverage).
• Where a product falls short, we say so — even if it is one we could earn a commission from.

We do not accept payment to alter factual visa information. Full stop.

Advertising

We display third-party ads (for example, Google AdSense). The content of those ads is chosen and served by the ad network, not by us. Those networks may set their own cookies and collect data through the ad units. How that works, and your choices around it, are covered in our Privacy Policy.

Amazon / other programs

If we join a specific, named affiliate program (for example, an Amazon Associates program or a particular provider's affiliate scheme), we will identify it here and include any disclosure wording that program requires.
